The Schloss Talvogtei was already founded in medieval times as a basis for the Talvogt of Freiburg to raise and collect taxes of the  peasantry. In the buildings history there had been different public use for military and community administration as well for privat living and workshop use. In the 90ies of the last century it should be transformed to a representative town hall for the growing city of Kirchzarten. Therefore we had been charged to elaborate in cooperation with the Institut for Building History of the University of Karlsruhe a detailed documentation and different analysis’ for construction and its damages and its historical development. A feasibility study according to its historic value and its applicability for modern administration functions should be prepared.
