The site of the Roman Villa is situated in the village center of Boos and is partly covered by the local churchyard. It has been excavated by Dr. Rupprecht LDA Mainz in the 1980ies. A concept for the restoration of the roman remainings, such as a cryptoporticus and vaulted masonry, integrating the courtyard of the local church was needed. The church terrace had been revitalized by covering the vaults and establishing new stone pavements for a new entry to the church. Access for visitors to the cryptoporticus, which is protected by a glass-steel-construction, is provided by a staircase from the southside.
