Installation of Tieback Anchor, Mortar Intrusion, Rebuilding of Foundation

The most dangerous effects on the construction of the historic monument are provoked by the loamy soil, its swelling and shrinking in condition of the quantity of rainfalls and the absorption of water in the ground. Settling of wall foundations causes big damages by cracks and inclination of pillars and vault-constructions. Therefore, a system of strong steel tieback anchors had been installed at the bottom of the vault system to avoid further extension of side track. Slim foundations of heavy stonewalls had been strengthened by continuous concrete reinforcement. Partly walls are demolished and rebuild again. Especially by inclination affected pillars – in which holes and cavities are sprouted because the joints mortar filling is washed out – are stabilized by special mortar intrusion, handled with improvised pump instruments.
